Code of Conduct
Guidelines
|
Your conduct as a member of the Nerang Hockey Club is to be exemplary and responsible at all times.
In particular, do not insult or abuse team mates, opposition players, umpires or spectators at any time.
1. The required standard of conduct is to be abided by in all circumstances:
Before, during and after matches
When spectating
At training
When on club and representative trips
At all social events
2. There is a recognized chain of command within the Club:
Nerang Hockey Club Committee
The Disciplinary Committee
Team Manager
Team Coach
Team Captain
3. Team managers and coaches are authorized to handle minor difficulties but are required to refer major problems to the Nerang Hockey Club Committee.
Disciplinary Matters
4. The Disciplinary Committee, consisting of three Club Committee members, deals with serious problems referred by the Club Committee.
5. Discipline (e.g. for not showing team spirit, for rudeness, swearing, on-field or off-field violence ...) is applied by way of:
1st warning
Appearance before the Disciplinary Committee
Appropriate action (e.g change of attitude, apology, perhaps suspension)
Personal Concerns
6. Players with personal concerns may:
Speak with their Team Captain or Team Coach or Team Manager
Put their concerns in writing to the Club Committee
Appear before the Club Committee to discuss their concerns

These are guidelines only. The club assumes the best possible conduct from every member, in every circumstance, and at all times, but has the processes and procedures in place to quickly address any difficulties which may arise during your membership of the club.
